Buying Gold Is a Matter of Trust!
Künker knows this and ensures that customers who place their trust in Künker are never let down.
Fritz Rudolf Künker founded his coin business in 1971. Just one year later, he spun off Künker’s gold trading department, which was run very successfully by his brother Horst-Rüdiger Künker. To this day, Horst-Rüdiger is part of the team, although Eike Müller has since taken over as head of the gold department. At Künker, dealing in gold is not just a business – it is a passion. Künker’s gold department not only deals in the usual bullion gold coins. Künker has also specialised in the exciting segment of historical investment coins, i.e. all gold and silver coins minted after 1800 that are traded at or around their material value. And there are a lot of them!
Whether it is the coins of the German Empire, the coinage of the Latin Monetary Union or gold coins from the USA or Canada: at Künker you get history for free with your investment!

Swissmint: modern coins for an extraordinary country
Switzerland is much more than just mountains and chocolate. It is one of the most innovative countries in the world. It is here, at the heart of the prestigious CERN, that the World Wide Web was created. The Gotthard Tunnel, the longest railway tunnel in the world, was created with a precision worthy of Swiss watchmaking. Swissmint, by striking the coins of this country, connects the present to the past, celebrating Swiss engineering prowess along the way. And let’s not forget: in Switzerland, one of the oldest coins still in circulation has been in use for over 140 years.
